BLOG: ending news aggregation on this site

You read correctly: I am ending regular posting of aggregated news stories on this site.  From here on out, I'm going to do all my story aggregation on Twitter.  Primarily I've lost interest in this particular endeavor, and would like to reclaim the little time spent managing the site.  Having learned a lot about using the internet to communicate stories of note and import, I think now is a great time to move on.  I actually have more followers on Twitter, anyway!  And it's much quicker to use, and I prefer the connections I have there with various people.

By no means does this decision stem from concerns about the legal aspects of aggregation or about how my past comments might negatively affect people's opinions of me or my work.  It's just a transition.

I may yet post items of interest here on SSP on occasion, certainly if I need a place to post original writing on sundry topics.  Whenever I post something here, you'll know about it via Twitter, as always.   And if you'd like to continue reading those news stories I forward from other sources, I encourage you to follow me at http://twitter.com/StateStPosts.
