Reminiscent of the 3/5ths Compromise in 1787 that apportioned slaves as only being worth 3/5th of a white man, the national Democratic Party has returned to its roots. Except this time, instead of apportioning the influence of slaves, the Democrat plantation is putting delegates in Michigan and Florida in their place.Interesting how the Democratic party continues to be branded as a racist organization within Mississippi. Here's a little background from "Freedom Summer". Of course, the GOP was raised as a formidable second party in Miss., in part as a reaction to the overthrow of the old Dems by the activists (Kingfish is yapping about them today on JJ).
The long awaited 'Rules Committee' meeting, after two days of profanity-laden gnashing of teeth, came up with a compromise - to give Florida and Michigan delegates half votes at the convention.
This all goes to say that, whatever the dynamic outside Mississippi, the political dynamic within will be a racial or ethnic one. At least until they toss some more policy into the damned mix.

Bunny says "Hariett Christian for President!" The lady got's some lungs on her..good for yelling at third world powers. Plus she evidently already has the power suit...and she has the mouth of a sailor (which Bunny looks at as a positive, cuz you never know when a well thought out %^&* you might be needed).
